Jumping Jack Compactor Rental
Description
Description
A jumping jack compactor rental is the tool for trench work and cohesive soil. Where a plate compactor spreads its force over a wide flat shoe, a jumping jack drives a narrow foot straight down - which is what clay and silt need, and what fits between the walls of a trench.
What It Gets Used For
- Backfilling trenches over pipe and conduit
- Cohesive soils - clay, silt and mixed fill
- Compacting against foundations and in confined spaces
- Construction and landscaping backfill
Features
- High Impact Force: Efficiently compresses cohesive soils and other materials
- Narrow Foot: Fits in a trench where a plate will not
- Versatile: Soil, sand, gravel and trench backfill
Jumping Jack or Plate Compactor
Plates are for granular material spread over an area - sub-base, sand and gravel. Jumping jacks are for cohesive material in a confined space - trench backfill and clay. If the material holds together when you squeeze it, you want the jumping jack.
