Bay Equipment Co (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides construction equipment rental and sales to business customers in Virginia. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Provide rental and sales services: scheduling deliveries and pickups, processing orders, invoicing, and payments.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run our business, for example:

Email delivery
Our online store platform (Shopify)
Payment processors

These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.

Mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for vendors and service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messaging service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Text Messaging

If you consent to receive text messages from us, we send operational and transactional messages only, such as:

Rental delivery and pickup scheduling
Order and invoice notifications
Replies to your customer-service inquiries

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get assistance by replying HELP. Full details are in our SMS / Mobile Terms.

6. Security and Retention

Security. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend against sending sensitive information through unsecured channels.

Retention. We keep customer and transaction records for as long as needed to serve your account and to meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it in the ordinary course of business.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Opt out of text messages (reply STOP) or other communications.

We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable time, and we may need to verify your identity before responding. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Our site may link to websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites; please review their policies when you visit them.

9. Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
